We collect the following personal data when you use Discover Pulse:

• Account data: first name, last name, email address, country, and a hashed password when you register.
• Usage data: your subscription plan, trial dates, which countries/categories you view, and how often you use the dashboard within a given day (used to enforce plan limits).
• Payment data: subscription and billing details are handled directly by PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card or bank details — we only receive confirmation of your subscription status and a PayPal subscription ID.
• Google Search Console data (optional): if you choose to connect your Google Search Console account (a Pro-plan feature), we request read-only access to your Discover performance data (impressions, clicks, and top pages) for the property you select. Your Google access tokens are stored encrypted and used only to fetch this data on your behalf.
• URLs you submit: if you use the Discover Readiness Check tool, we fetch and analyze the specific URL(s) you provide, on demand.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure for security and troubleshooting.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to: provide and operate your account and dashboard; process payments and manage subscriptions; enforce plan limits (e.g. the Free plan’s daily view cap); send essential account emails (email verification, trial status, billing); and, where you haven’t opted out, send occasional emails about Discover Pulse or related products from our team.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the following legal bases under the GDPR: performance of a contract (to provide the service you signed up for), your consent (for optional features like connecting Google Search Console, and for marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time), and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service securely.

5. Third-party services

We share limited data with the following third parties, only as necessary to provide the service:

• PayPal — for subscription billing and payment processing.
• Google — only if you explicitly connect your Google Search Console account; we access only the Discover performance data for the property you authorize.
• Our email delivery infrastructure — to send account and product emails.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for you to log in and use your account (authentication cookies), consistent with standard WordPress functionality. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
